BC’s government introduced new legislation to tackle the housing crisis under Premier David Eby....
Effective immediately all condo owners may rent their unit, regardless of former strata rules.
It is meant to free up 300,000 units in strata's that forbid renting.
The new rules do not apply to 55+ buildings or Strata's with short-term rental restrictions of less than 30 days.
